libevent-perl software package provides generic Perl event loop module, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libevent-perl
libevent-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libevent-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libevent-perl *
You will get with libevent-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
