libev-dev software package provides static library, header files, and docs for libev, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libev-dev
libev-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libev-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libev-dev *
You will get with libev-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
