libemail-sender-transport-smtp software package provides Perl module for sending email using TLS, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libemail-sender-transport-smtp
libemail-sender-transport-smtp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libemail-sender-transport-smtp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libemail-sender-transport-smtp*
You will get with libemail-sender-transport-smtp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
