How to uninstall or remove libedje1 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libedje1 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libedje1 

Uninstall libedje1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libedje1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libedje1 
Use Purging libedje1

If you use with purge options to libedje1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libedje1 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libedje1
