libdvb-dev software package provides library to tune and command Digital Video Broadcasting cards, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdvb-dev
libdvb-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdvb-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdvb-dev *
You will get with libdvb-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
