libdaemon-generic-perl software package provides framework for starting, stopping, reconfiguring daemon-like programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdaemon-generic-perl
libdaemon-generic-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdaemon-generic-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdaemon-generic-perl *
You will get with libdaemon-generic-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
