libcpl-dev software package provides ESO library for automated astronomical data-reduction, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcpl-dev
libcpl-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcpl-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcpl-dev *
You will get with libcpl-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
