libcli1.9 software package provides emulates a cisco style telnet command-line interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcli1.9
libcli1.9 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcli1.9 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcli1.9 *
You will get with libcli1.9 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
