libcheese-gtk23 software package provides tool to take pictures and videos from your webcam - widgets, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcheese-gtk23
libcheese-gtk23 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcheese-gtk23 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcheese-gtk23 *
You will get with libcheese-gtk23 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
