libboost-serialization-dev software package provides serialization library for C++ (default version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libboost-serialization-dev
libboost-serialization-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libboost-serialization-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libboost-serialization-dev *
You will get with libboost-serialization-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
