libaudit-dev software package provides Header files and static library for security auditing, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libaudit-dev
libaudit-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libaudit-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libaudit-dev *
You will get with libaudit-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
