How to uninstall or remove libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg

Uninstall libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg including dependent package

If you would like to remove libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg

Use Purging libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg

If you use with purge options to libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libatlas-cpp-0.6-1-dbg
