How to uninstall or remove libarmadillo4 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libarmadillo4 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libarmadillo4 

Uninstall libarmadillo4 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libarmadillo4 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libarmadillo4 
Use Purging libarmadillo4

If you use with purge options to libarmadillo4 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libarmadillo4 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libarmadillo4
