libadns1-dev software package provides Asynchronous-capable DNS client library and utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libadns1-dev
libadns1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libadns1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libadns1-dev *
You will get with libadns1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
