lib64gcc-4.8-dev-powerpc-cross software package provides GCC support library (64bit development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lib64gcc-4.8-dev-powerpc-cross
lib64gcc-4.8-dev-powerpc-cross is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lib64gcc-4.8-dev-powerpc-cross package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lib64gcc-4.8-dev-powerpc-cross*
You will get with lib64gcc-4.8-dev-powerpc-cross package name, version, architecture and description in a table
