latex-beamer software package provides LaTeX class to produce presentations, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install latex-beamer
latex-beamer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the latex-beamer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep latex-beamer *
You will get with latex-beamer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
