ksplice software package provides Patching live kernel without having to reboot, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ksplice
ksplice is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ksplice package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ksplice *
You will get with ksplice package name, version, architecture and description in a table
