kshutdown software package provides advanced shut down utility for KDE, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kshutdown
kshutdown is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kshutdown package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kshutdown *
You will get with kshutdown package name, version, architecture and description in a table
