kdebase-workspace software package provides transitional package for kde-workspace, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kdebase-workspace
kdebase-workspace is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kdebase-workspace package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kdebase-workspace *
You will get with kdebase-workspace package name, version, architecture and description in a table
