kde-window-manager-common software package provides K window manager (KWin) Common Files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-window-manager-common
kde-window-manager-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-window-manager-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-window-manager-common *
You will get with kde-window-manager-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
