kde-runtime software package provides runtime components from the official KDE release, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-runtime
kde-runtime is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-runtime package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-runtime *
You will get with kde-runtime package name, version, architecture and description in a table
