kde-notification-colibri software package provides passive notification system for kde4, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-notification-colibri
kde-notification-colibri is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-notification-colibri package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-notification-colibri *
You will get with kde-notification-colibri package name, version, architecture and description in a table
