kanjidic-xml software package provides Kanji Dictionary in XML format, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kanjidic-xml
kanjidic-xml is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kanjidic-xml package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kanjidic-xml *
You will get with kanjidic-xml package name, version, architecture and description in a table
