How to uninstall or remove irssi-plugin-otr software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed irssi-plugin-otr package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove irssi-plugin-otr

Uninstall irssi-plugin-otr including dependent package

If you would like to remove irssi-plugin-otr and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove irssi-plugin-otr

Use Purging irssi-plugin-otr

If you use with purge options to irssi-plugin-otr package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge irssi-plugin-otr

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove irssi-plugin-otr
