How to Install iptables software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

iptables software package provides administration tools for packet filtering and NAT, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install iptables

iptables is installed in your system.

Make ensure the iptables package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep iptables *

You will get with iptables package name, version, architecture and description in a table
