ipadic-common software package provides Dictionaries for ChaSen (UTF-8 text), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ipadic-common
ipadic-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ipadic-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ipadic-common *
You will get with ipadic-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
