ion software package provides NASA implementation of Delay-Tolerant Networking (DTN), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ion
ion is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ion package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ion *
You will get with ion package name, version, architecture and description in a table
