How to uninstall or remove input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

Uninstall input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi including dependent package

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi

Use Purging input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi

If you use with purge options to input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove input-modules-3.13.0-24-generi
