im-switch software package provides Input method switch framework, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install im-switch
im-switch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the im-switch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep im-switch *
You will get with im-switch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
