How to Install ifupdown software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

ifupdown software package provides high level tools to configure network interfaces, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ifupdown

ifupdown is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ifupdown package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ifupdown *

You will get with ifupdown package name, version, architecture and description in a table
