ienglish-common software package provides Common files for British and American ispell dictionaries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ienglish-common
ienglish-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ienglish-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ienglish-common *
You will get with ienglish-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
