hunspell-de-de software package provides German dictionary for hunspell, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hunspell-de-de
hunspell-de-de is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hunspell-de-de package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hunspell-de-de *
You will get with hunspell-de-de package name, version, architecture and description in a table
