hardening-wrapper software package provides Compiler wrapper to enable security hardening flags, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hardening-wrapper
hardening-wrapper is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hardening-wrapper package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hardening-wrapper *
You will get with hardening-wrapper package name, version, architecture and description in a table
