grub-splashimages software package provides a collection of great GRUB splashimages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grub-splashimages
grub-splashimages is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grub-splashimages package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grub-splashimages *
You will get with grub-splashimages package name, version, architecture and description in a table
