grub-firmware-qemu software package provides GRUB firmware image for QEMU, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grub-firmware-qemu
grub-firmware-qemu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grub-firmware-qemu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grub-firmware-qemu *
You will get with grub-firmware-qemu package name, version, architecture and description in a table
