gretl-common software package provides GNU Regression, Econometric & Time-Series Library -- scripts package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gretl-common
gretl-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gretl-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gretl-common *
You will get with gretl-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
