gpsd-clients software package provides Global Positioning System - clients, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpsd-clients
gpsd-clients is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpsd-clients package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpsd-clients *
You will get with gpsd-clients package name, version, architecture and description in a table
