golang-goprotobuf-dev software package provides Protocol buffer support for the Go programming language, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install golang-goprotobuf-dev
golang-goprotobuf-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the golang-goprotobuf-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep golang-goprotobuf-dev *
You will get with golang-goprotobuf-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
