gnome-exe-thumbnailer software package provides Wine .exe and other executable thumbnailer for Gnome, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-exe-thumbnailer
gnome-exe-thumbnailer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-exe-thumbnailer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-exe-thumbnailer *
You will get with gnome-exe-thumbnailer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
