gnome-commander software package provides nice and fast file manager for the GNOME desktop, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-commander
gnome-commander is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-commander package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-commander *
You will get with gnome-commander package name, version, architecture and description in a table
