gir1.2-gtk-2.0 software package provides GTK+ graphical user interface library -- gir bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gir1.2-gtk-2.0
gir1.2-gtk-2.0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gir1.2-gtk-2.0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gir1.2-gtk-2.0 *
You will get with gir1.2-gtk-2.0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
