getmail4 software package provides mail retriever with support for POP3, IMAP4 and SDPS, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install getmail4
getmail4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the getmail4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep getmail4 *
You will get with getmail4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
