gedit-r-plugin software package provides Gedit plugin for R statistical computing language, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gedit-r-plugin
gedit-r-plugin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gedit-r-plugin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gedit-r-plugin *
You will get with gedit-r-plugin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
