gccgo-4.8-powerpc-linux-gnu software package provides GNU Go compiler, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gccgo-4.8-powerpc-linux-gnu
gccgo-4.8-powerpc-linux-gnu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gccgo-4.8-powerpc-linux-gnu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gccgo-4.8-powerpc-linux-gnu *
