gaupol software package provides subtitle editor for text-based subtitle files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gaupol
gaupol is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gaupol package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gaupol *
You will get with gaupol package name, version, architecture and description in a table
