How to uninstall or remove fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene

Uninstall fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene including dependent package

If you would like to remove fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene

Use Purging fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene

If you use with purge options to fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fs-core-modules-3.13.0-24-gene
