friends-facebook software package provides Social integration with the desktop - Facebook, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install friends-facebook
friends-facebook is installed in your system.
Make ensure the friends-facebook package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep friends-facebook *
You will get with friends-facebook package name, version, architecture and description in a table
