etherpuppet software package provides create a virtual interface from a remote Ethernet interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install etherpuppet
etherpuppet is installed in your system.
Make ensure the etherpuppet package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep etherpuppet *
You will get with etherpuppet package name, version, architecture and description in a table
