dvd95 software package provides DVD9 to DVD5 converter, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dvd95
dvd95 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dvd95 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dvd95 *
You will get with dvd95 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
