dump software package provides 4.4bsd dump and restore for ext2 filesystems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dump
dump is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dump package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dump *
You will get with dump package name, version, architecture and description in a table
